Plugins for Server Cloud Online Backup

Overview

The cloud online backup server edition allows you to add functionality by installing application specific plugins and other monitoring tools. Current online backup plugins are listed below.

Microsoft Exchange 2003 / 2007 / 2010

The Exchange plugin provides a completely automated backup solution to Exchange databases - even whilst they are running. Exchange databases are patched and compressed to only a fraction of their original size prior to backing up - saving time and bandwidth.

Single Mailbox Recovery for Exchange 2003 / 2007 / 2010

The SMR plugin can be used to backup and restore single mailboxes within an Exchange Server. The backup plugin makes use of the ExMerge program to perform a dump of a mailbox to a pst file - which is in turn backed up.

Microsoft MS SQL 2000 / 2005 / 2008

The MS SQL plugin provides protection for all your SQL databases. The online backup SQL plugin also enables you to protect multiple SQL instances on one server.

Microsoft Sharepoint 2003 / 2007 / 2010

This plugin enables you to backup and protect your installation of Microsoft Sharepoint. The backup plugin can be configured to backup all sites, even down to individual document/item level.

VSS Database plug-in for supported databases and applications

VSS (Volume Shadow Copy Service) enables open files such as Outlook pst files to be backed up. The VSS plugin also enables you to backup any VSS enabled database or application - without the need for a database dump.

Sybase ASE 12.5

The Sybase plugin enables complete protection for any Sybase ASE 12.5 database you would like to backup. The plugin even provides backup down to individual table or file group.

Lotus Domino 6.5 / 7

The Lotus Domino plugin enables online backup of any Domino database. The plugin utilises the native Domino backup API, allowing for online backup down to the individual mailbox.

Oracle 9i / 10g

Oracle databases can be protected using the Oracle plugin - right down to tablespace level.

Groupwise 6 / 7

The Groupwise plugin enables you to protect your entire Groupwise installation.

Email Notification

With the Email Notification you can receive notification on the backup activity. A specific email address can be used to notify you when a backup has failed, been successful or both.

Script Plug-in

The script plugin enables you to run custom made scripts before, during or after an online backup. For example it allows you to stop a database and then do a specific database dump. Relatively complicated applications can therefore be backed up with ease.

System State Plug-in

This plugin enables you to backup a collection of specific system components such as boot files, registry, COM+, Active Directory and Sysvol directories.
